The magazine is published since 1999. Instead of 3 issues that have been planned for that year, only one issue appeared, bearing cumulative numbers 1-3. Oriental Collection No. 1-3 (1999) had 176 pages, its dimensions were 340x180 mm, circulation was 1000 copies. Vadim Churbanov led the Editorial staff.
In 2000, the magazine was not published.
Since 2001, the concept and design of the magazine have changed, and now it is published by the permanent group of Editors, which is a division of the Russian State Library.
